Alerts for some closed opportunities

Hello,

We are currently using MS Dynamics 2016 and I'm having trouble setting up some alerts.  I need to figure out how to alert some users when their opportunity is closed and registered as "won". Specifically, at least five departements are using the CRM (including Finance team). I need to set up an alert for the user who register a Finance opportunity in order to remember him to send an email (if I can set-up this automatic email would be better) six months after the opportunity is closed and set as "won".

Problems:

1- I don't know how to specify that the opportunity concerns only Finance departement.

2- I don't know how to set-up an alert in order to remember the owner of the opportunity, to send an email to the client six months after the opportunity has been closed and won.

3- Is there any way to set-up this automatic email? Using a template, can we just send a bulk of emails (only to this clients)?

Thanks

create a workflow that fires when the status changes, use an IF statement to check the statues and that it's for the finance department(We would create child workflows for different departments in some instances)

create a task with a due date 6 months in the future or timeout the workflow until that date/time is passed.

NB. Who is sending the emails if the staff have left the company/inactive, the emails might fail.

1.Create a field on Opportunity that holds information that this opportunity related to finance or some thing else.(Option set type field will be feasible) If such type of field is already there then use that.

    2. Create a workflow that create a task of next six month and assign this task to opportunity owner. This workflow get trigger on opportunity create.

    3. Create a workflow that send email when opportunity get close as won.

    Hi,

All your requirements can be fulfilled by Alerts4Dynamics – a productivity app for Dynamics 365 CRM. With this app, you can create alerts, choose the audience to whom the alert should be sent, define the mode of alerts, etc. Once scheduled the alerts will be automatically sent. Thanks!
