Gantt chart performance problem

Posted on by 3
Dear Expert,
Our environment is cloud Saas.
We have completed the Gantt chart setup on Dynamics365FO.
However, it takes 10 to 15 seconds response on GUI when adjusting the bar.
What could be causing this performance issue? AddOn? Cloud performance? Program bug?
From what I've seen on the forums, everyone seems to be working fine.
Why is this problem in our environment?

     Hi,
In my opinion, there seems to be a problem with configuration, parameters, and dependencies. If my suggestion doesn't help you, you can wait and see the replies from other volunteers in the forum, because you've already contacted Microsoft, maybe you can try opening a ticket again, and if your problem is urgent, you can escalate the case to A.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

    Thanks for your suggestion.

I think our infrastructure environment is fine.
    My environment is in Japan.
The MS cloud environment in Japan is very nice. Isn't it the best in the world?
I have never felt it to be particularly slow in other business processes.
And since we're still before Go-Live, we don't have a lot of data.
After all, there seems to be a problem with configuration, parameters, and dependencies.
I've been contacting the MS team for quite some time now, but it's still not resolved.

    Hi,
Depending on the problem you described, it seems that you want to know what might be causing a 10 to 15 second delay in response when using Gantt diagrams, there could be several reasons:
    • Cloud performance: As a cloud SaaS environment, the overall performance of the system is influenced by the cloud infrastructure managed by your provider. Performance issues could be related to server loads, network connections, or other infrastructure factors. You can reach out to your cloud provider to inquire about performance-related concerns and see if there are any potential solutions.
    • Data Volume and Complexity: If your Gantt chart involves a large amount of data and complex dependencies, it could contribute to the response delay. You can try narrowing down the scope of the data to make it more manageable by filtering or segmenting.
    • Program Configuration: There might be certain configuration settings or parameters that could be causing the performance issue. It’s recommended to review your Gantt chart’s configuration settings and related parameters.
    • Possible Program Bugs or Optimization Issues: There might be some program bugs or optimization issues that could be impacting the performance of the Gantt chart. It’s recommended to report this issue to the Dynamics 365 support team and work with them for troubleshooting and customized solutions.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
