Made the field Default Site ID required on the form Item Quantities Maintenance but the required property is not being enforced.

I have used Modifier to make the Default Site ID field required on the Item Quantities Maintenance window.  The Default Site ID label is bolded red like the rest of my required fields.  However, the field property Required = True is not being enforced by GP and a record can be saved without any site id being entered.  We have made other fields required on our system without any problem.  Has anyone else encountered this before?  Thanks.

I haven't tried exactly what you described, but that field behaves differently on this window than elsewhere.  Here, the Default Site ID is only active when the ALL radio button is selected; otherwise, it's grayed out.  I'm guessing the window logic is getting in the way.  If you've used modifier successfully on other windows to make fields required then I'd guess that's the story here.

If there's strong business process need for this functionality you might explore putting VBA on this window.  You could see if the default site is empty and cancel the save if true (and give a popup message asking the field be populated).

It's trickier to go this route (you'd have to put vba in a few places to make it bulletproof), but it's an option.

Yes, I also suspect the coding behind the ALL radio button to be the culprit.  Is there a way to see the DEXTERITY code?  It would be nice to know what the form is doing so that I don't have to spend so much time experimenting with VBA.
