Hello,

We are implementing D365 F&O and CE. We are currently using F&O for HR. I am looking for sources of address formats for countries as well as global address data (city, state, postal code, etc.) Does anyone have any recommendations on purchasing this data? The only option we have found requires an annual subscription and you don't "own" the data.

Hello,

When you say, you are using F&O for HR alone, do you mean, you do not have access to the address book functionality ? In the organization administration module you have access to the global address data.

You might want to clarify.

Hi,

When you are using Dynamics 365 Finance, HR, Project Operations, or any other SKU, upon deploymment a default list with address formats is created.
In case you need prefilled information for cities, states, postal codes, etcetera, then indeed you need to find a source which is usually a paid one.

How many employee records do you need to maintain and is it worth to invest in such subscription? You can also set up the application where you don't use the tables for cities, postal codes, etc for a lookup. You can type the information manually.

In case you need data validation, you can consider customizations or an ISV solution from STEADEAN in combination with a subscription for online data validation. Companies like Loqate, Melissa.com, Data8 do provide online validation services that can be connected via an API.
