Address formats and master data

When you are using Dynamics 365 Finance, HR, Project Operations, or any other SKU, upon deploymment a default list with address formats is created.
In case you need prefilled information for cities, states, postal codes, etcetera, then indeed you need to find a source which is usually a paid one.
How many employee records do you need to maintain and is it worth to invest in such subscription? You can also set up the application where you don't use the tables for cities, postal codes, etc for a lookup. You can type the information manually.
In case you need data validation, you can consider customizations or an ISV solution from STEADEAN in combination with a subscription for online data validation. Companies like Loqate, Melissa.com, Data8 do provide online validation services that can be connected via an API.
