Vendor Collaboration Portal - Access Issue

Hello All,

We have a requirement to provide Purchasers access to Vendor Collaboration module,
so that they can help vendors once they are onboarded.

I have realized that when i give them the below roles, they are not able to see Vendors under 'All Vendors' for their company.

When i remove these roles they are able to see vendor list under 'All Vendors'. So i believe there is a
denial permission as one of previlages under these role.

End objective is to have being able to see Vendors under 'All Vendor' list as
well as access Vendor Collaboration module view

Has anyone faced similar issue? Thank you.
I have the same question (0)

Instead of assigning the role directly to the user, you should add the relevant duty to the existing role (if already prepared a separate role for that user, or make a new role and relevant duties).

    Duty name: View Vendor Profile.

There is no deny permission added to the role, it is controlled through XDS security policy. It is clearly visible at the role level:

Or you can make a copy of this role "Vendor Admin (external)" and remove the security policy context string, it should work for you.

Please try the same and let us know the result.

    Regards,
    Neeraj Kumar

    Hi,

As CA Neeraj mentioned, the root cause is a security policy created via Extensible Data Security (XDS). This will limit the records that the (external) person can see to his own vendor record and related data. This is based on the person linked to the vendor collaboration user which is also the contact at the vendor.
As an internal user is not set up as a contact at the vendor(s), he will not see any record. You should use another security role. I like the suggestion from CA Neeraj to duplicate the current role and remove the Security policy context string, That is managing the security policy which limits the number of records.

Hi @CA Neeraj Kumar and @André Arnaud de Calavon, I tried creating new roles without the security policy context string and it worked. Thank you for your help.
