Linking Purchase Requisition with Sales Order

Forum! Can somebody please help me with the customisation of Great Plains Purchase Requisition. How to add sales order information in purchase requisition. I want to create purchase requisition using sales order information. Can somebody please help me with this. Sajid Hakeem

     Hi sajid,

      if you want copy the individual sales order to purchase order than in the SOP transaction entry action button contains "Purchase " option. It will create purchase order.

    Otherwise if you want to master planning feature than we need to customize the exsisting product.

    Jeganeedhi! Can you please tell me which table should I use for purchase requisition and if I need to do customisation, what study material should I use. I really appreciate your help in this regards Sajid

     sajid,

             you want to raise purchase quote or purchasae order? Anyway both are stored in single table that purchase work table.

    POP10100- purchase header work

    POP10110 -Purchase line work

    If you going to customize through dexterity then you need refer Dexterity help file. If you don't have experience in dexterity , Please take some time to learn completely. This customization is related to GP core modules so we need to handle carefully.

    Better you can create a separate form for select the sales orders which are all need to create purchase quote.

    Jeganee! Thanks for the information. However I need to create Purchase Requisition not purchase order or purchase quote. I know from a resource that Purchase Requisition module is a module in the Business Portal. Actually all business portal tables are being generated during the business portal installation. As I need to do customization in Business Portal, Do I still need to use dexterity. Regards Sajid

     Ok. Sorry for the misunderstading. Yes Purchse reuistion  management is available in Business portal. I have that much experience in Business portal customization.

    If you create Purchase requistion in BP then it will create  purchase order in GP. It is possible to customize in BP.

     Sajid,

     If you want Busiiness Portal tables for Purchase requistion then you can get all table from Dynamics databse.

    The table names starts with ReqMgmt.

    If I am not wrong,  Main tables are

    ReqMgmtDocument

    ReqMgmtLines

    My friend, can you tell me that is this Business Portal comes with the standard GP10 Cds or I have to download it from some microsoft sites. 

    If I need to download from microsoft sites, what is the link where I can get it from.
