How to get Advance Find details from javascript AND records retrieved from advance find Query??

Hi All,

I want to get Advance find xml or Advance Find page context to retrieve the view and query details of it.

We have a new button on Contact subgrid.. On Click of this button we want to fetch Advance Find details like Advance find Query, View Name, View Description.

Along with these details we want to add the result records in subgrid of another Entity.

I have used document.getElementById('FetchXml') to get Advance find details, but its returning the null value.

Can anybody suggest a way to get the advance find details and to add result records in another entity's subgrid?

Also may be sometimes subgrid takes time to load so you can try setTimeOut condition.

This is the requirement that they want this button on Result tab only.

Try to put button on advanced find tab, not on result tab.

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried it too but the system was not able to find get_fetchXml.

hence i'm getting an error.

It's not really supported, but you can try to use following code:

var fetchXml = $find('advFind').get_fetchXml();

Just add application ribbon to solution and add new button to it with ribbon workbench.

After you get fetchXml i guess there is way to use it for your purposes.
