Hi
I need to find a setting so that the cashiers can not manually adjust the " on hand " inventory amounts.
There dosent seem to be a setting in the database>cashiers.properties window from the store operations manager?

Set up Security on the fields you don't want them to change or even see.
For Manager;
Manager | Database | Items | select an item | Inventory tab | click the Padlock icon on the main menu | Ctrl + S should highlight everything in blue | click on the Qty box and select Disable Change (for them not to see it, select Disable Read) for the appropriate security levels | Ctrl + S to get out of the setting screen | select the padlock again to get out of Security.
For POS;
Click the bottom blank button on the left | F2 | open any Item | Inventory tab | follow the above instructions, except re-click on the padlock on the button to get out of Security.
This is from memory, but I thinks its correct.
Now go into each Cashier and set them to the Security level you set the Disable Read option.
