Setting up bins in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013

I work at a remote office using Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 and would like to start using bin locations in my warehouse. I was wondering if I can be setup to use bins here at my office without my Corporate office having to setup bins in their warehouse. In other words can bin locations be setup independently per site? I just wanted to make sure that setting up bins at my location wouldn't interfere with the corporate office in anyway.

    Hi Dave,

    You need to create different Site ID specifically for your Warehouse and assign Bins to that Site ID.

    If required you can use this Site ID for the transactions entered at your Warehouse and also at Corporate Office.

    Hi Praveen,

    Thank you. My Corporate Office has me setup as my own Site ID. I was wondering if I start creating the bins that I want to use manually then go into Quantities/Site to Item Quantities Maintenance and assign the bin to my Site ID will that affect my Corporate Office in any way? Thanks

    Dave,

    I assume you are going to use the specific Site ID for your Transactions alone right, in that case, Corporate Office End Users need not essentially select this Site ID, so it wont affect their Transactions.
