Help - SmartList Launch Error

We have two users having issues opening smart list, they are getting the following error messages. I am afraid this disease is spreading.

  • A save operation on table 'ASI_Explorer_Favorites' has caused an unknown error(38)
  • An open operation on table 'ASI_SQL_Query_Fields' failed because the path does not exist

I couldn't reproduce the user's cloned account.

Upon further googling, it seems like this fields belong to table ASIEXP96 which I can't find  in our upgraded system. I searched google; dead end on this. Any help is appreciated.

    Hello Mohammed,

    If you capture this error in a dexsql.log, do you see any mentions of "FP: Couldn't Close Table" or anything about the SQL connection being dropped?

    Normally, when we see this type of error intermittently, it has to do with the SQL connection being dropped between SQL and Dynamics GP, thus the error.

    This may also explain why you can't reproduce this error on the user's cloned account as the connection issue isn't specific to any user account, but may be machine specific.......can you re-create or see this error on more than one machine?

    We recently upgraded, I will do the same for all the Smartlist and will update status here.

    if you have the Smartlist Builder installed, open the smartlist which has issues by selecting the Smartlist type "Existing", and save.
