    Hi WWwong,

You can copy the trace parser file (.etl) to your dev machine. Install the Dynamics trace parser application if not already. Open the trace parser application and open the etl file. From there, you can analyze the file.

You can find more details here.

Also, go through the youtube session. The relevant part for your query starts here

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Btw, in the session, there are more than 1 session after I imported mine. Although it is in my own VM and when I start trace, already open the "thing" that I want to trace. ( for this example, I'm trace a batch job, so that batch job already open and ready to click OK button). No other steps in between.

The 2 rows at the bottom are my session according to that username ID, but what are those 3 other session means ? and for those 2 of my session, actually what are it's means because after try those 2, the correct one is actually the session with "initial".

Can help me to understand more on this ?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi WWwong,

I would look at the session created by my login if I am using trace parser. Trace parser captures all the noise coming from multiple sources of the application. Hence, it is recommended to stop all the activity on the application and only focus on the area which you need to investigate. Please also note that there can be some batch jobs or some internal tasks that will also be captured in trace parser but I assume you can safely ignore those. It will be difficult to pinpoint what those other sessions are unless we are not looking at it ourselves.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!
