Dynamics Outlook App - Stuck in "We're just getting things ready" state.

Using Hybrid Exchange (CRM On-Premise 1612 v9.0.3.7 - Exchange Online) server side sync, App deployed to users, all mailbox tested / approved / successful. same with server test.

Trying to launch the app in Outlook for the users gets stuck on "We're just getting things ready" The same happens if the mailbox is opened via web OWA.

Network traffic log displays repeated tunnelling to crminsights.crm.dynamics.com:443 nocache-must revalidate.

I have tried clearing browser cache in Edge, IE, Chrome, and added the below to trusted site.

*.dynamics.com

*.microsoftonline.com

https://login.windows.net

Can anyone offer any advice?

I have the same question (0)

Deleting the browser cache/cookies and adding the Sites* in the Trusted Sites Zone in IE would not help when the authentication is not happening in both Outlook Desktop Client/OWA. This only helps when the D365 App for Outlook doesn't load in Outlook Desktop Client.

We would need to capture Fiddler traces and analyze the cause for the D365 App for Outlook not loading. Since Fiddler will capture the CRM Org details, I would request you to create a case with us for further assistance.

    Hi G286,

    Hope you are well.

I am facing the same issue. May I know how did you solve it?

If you raised a support ticket for it, could you please share the ticket number?

    Many thanks.

Same issue here.  We never get a screen to login and recently had a certificate expire.  Any thoughts?  How did you resolve this?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

After a lot of back and forth with Microsoft support, the eventual solution for us was:

On the CRM server with the deployment tools role, open PowerShell as an administrator and run the following:

    Add-PSSnapin microsoft.crm.powershell

    $oauth=get-crmsetting -settingtype oauthclaimssettings

    $oauth

    $oauth.enabled=1

    set-crmsetting $oauth

    $oauth

        2. Add-AdfsClient -Name "Dynamics 365 App for Outlook" -ClientId <org-id> -RedirectUri cittest.contoso.com:444/.../code_auth.aspx

Note : Go to Settings > Dynamics 365 App for Outlook to copy AD FS command to register App for Outlook

    Grant-AdfsApplicationPermission -ClientRoleIdentifier "<org-id>" -ServerRoleIdentifier https://auth.contoso.com:444/

So I did some more research and found that this is supposedly fixed in V9.1.7.  We are at v9.1.6 and testing that update in a test environment.  However, no way to test the app because we don't have that feature enabled in test.  Can anyone confirm that it is working after v9.1.7?  See below.  I plan to apply the update end of month and will post my results.

"After the upgrade of the org, user was not able to use the Mail App. Auth process was not completing."

Can you double check the Version of Outlook connector, We faced similar type of Issue and our IT guy helps to download some offline supported Version. Its a known bug.

Do you think this would impact the synchronization?  It started working better when I started to install the cumulative updates on a regular basis.  Now I face a sync issue.  I can sync if I create an appointment in Outlook it will sync to the entity of my choice in seconds but If I create an appointment in Dynamics it doesn't sync over at all.  Plan to post a new question this morning.
