Workflow - email notification when Vendor is approved, canceled, etc.

Hello,

Dynamics Business Central 14

I have made workflow from template "Vendor approval workflow". I set that the Approver Type is "Workflow User Group" and set approriate group. Approver gets email, when a new Vendor is created. Till this workflow works fine.

I want to setup email notifications, when a new Vendor is approved, canceled, etc. from Approver side. Email notification should be received by person, who have made Vendor card, or it could be a group of users, too.

Any ideas?

    I think what you want is this: docs.microsoft.com/.../notify-requester-about-all-changes-approval-request

    However, you can see it is for the 2020 W1 release so that won't work for your v14. This might be worth a look though:

    www.navug.com/.../viewthread

    It's not in AL but it can be converted to that. It will then add the extra step you need to fire off that type of message as the workflow progresses.

    Failing that you could look to jump over to Power Automate for the approval as you can map out each area of the workflow and state which application is used i.e. Outlook whether it is approved, rejected or pending approval.

    Now I know, that such functionality is not for v14 and it is necessary to look for other options.
