Exporting Smartlist to Excel

Our A/R team has noticed that when they export an Aging report from Smartlist to Excel, the decimals show up in Excel to the 5th decimal, but in Smartlist it only shows to 2 decimals. How do we fix that export to Excel to default to 2 decimals instead of 5?

    Dear Mr. Brad

I guess this has nothing to do with the "Export to Excel" functionality, it might be related to Excel settings. Why don't you try to modify the decimal places of the required column, and decrease it to "2" decimal places

I know we can adjust the decimals once its in Excel to decimals, but that is a burden for each of our AR team members to have to do that every month.  If its showing in Smartlist as two decimals, ideally it would export that way.  I was reading a couple other posts about the subject and our MS partner is working on it for me.  Thanks for the response though.

    Dear Mr. Brad
I have just been alerted to read about the issue, and it seems that the error is mostly associated with GP 2013, as Mr. Mariano Gomez mentioned that "Smart list performance needed to improve to make the export functionality usable over Web Client"

I have just tested this issue on my test machine, and the error occurs as you explained precisely, two to five decimals on the "Export to Excel". The good news that I've tried out a solution provided by Ms. Leslie Vail, it included adding up a new line ( SmartListEnhancedExcelExport=TRUE ) to the Dex.ini
    The problem is solved out.

    Hi Jonson

I have faced the same problem in GP 2013, but GP 2010 the decimal places is working fine. After i

included the SmartListEnhancedExcelExport=TRUE in dex.ini the problem was solved. For your reference here i mentioned the link. Thanks Mariano and Leslie

You cannot fix the export process, you can only export and then format the columns.  Sorry.

Thanks to everyone for the support/responses.  We now have all Dex.ini files updated and the issue is resolved.
