CRM Online - Outlook Plugin

We had CRM on prem and moved to CRM Online.  I am unable to get the Outlooks add in to start.  I have downloaded and installed the plug in, but when I go to Add Ins in Outlook the plug in is disabled and if I enable and close it is unchecked again.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the add in a few times with no luck.  I have no idea what else to try.

    You could turn on tracing in for the client and check the logs to see if that provides any hints on what the issue may be.

    Enable Tracing in the CRM 2011 Outlook Client

    You could also try clearing the temporary files from the same screen.

    Are there any other add-ins installed that might be conflicting? Try disabling them and enabling the CRM add-in.

    I should have mentioned I am running Windows 8.  I could not find the Diagnostics to enable the tracing.  I had the plug in working for Outlook just fine with the on prem CRM.  But, I could not find a way to reconfigure it for CRM Online so I uninstalled and reinstalled.  Since then I cannot get it to show up.

    I tried disabling all the other plug ins and still no luck.  It shows up under Inactive Application Add Ins.

    I found they were buried in the Start Screen. You have to right-click the start screen and select "All Applications" to find both Configuration Wizard and the Diagnostics.

    If you haven't set up the configuration, it won't start up when you start Outlook.

    if you are configuring the CRM Outlook client, are you able to configure that sucessfully?

    Thank you, I found the configuration.  We are using CRM Online so I put in the URL with the https:// and that failed as it could not authenticate me.  I tried with just http and got the same thing. What I found based on that message states my Live Id has not been verified, but I have been using it for quite some time.  It is not a hotmail account.

    I tried to find a way to verify my account again and could not find that.

    No, I have not been able to configure that.  Dynamics works just fine through the browser.

    We are using Office 365 and I can log into it and get to the CRM without issue.

    Instead of using the website, you should change the dropdown to "CRM Online". It will then ask to authenticate and pull up your CRM instance in the lower box.

    I did not see that option previously, thank you.

    I did that and clicked Test Connection and it did not fail.

    I went to the Select Organization drop down and it is empty.  I click OK and it does not give me a message stating it failed, but it does not go away either.
