ALT key locking up

We have noticed that our ALT key is locking up.  We currently use Cortex Medical Management software through Microsoft Dynamics SL.  Periodically, it appears as if the ALT key is locked up.  We have to close out of all screens using task manager, log off our computer and back on to get working again.  Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

    This is the GP board but the answer would be the same. Try downloading this keyboard testing program. Does this problem occur on all computers? Does this Cortex software do anything special with the ALT key? Have you tried contacting them?

    Sorry, thought I posted on a different one.   We did contact Cortex and they could not find anything wrong.  I thought I would take a gamble and contact MS Dynamics.

    This above testing program is blocked by our Security wall.
