    RE: CRM 2016 Import Solution Error(GuidedHelp)

    Hi Jorge,

    This is for the guided help on Interactive service hub, it is a javascript can be found in the web resources of your CRM 2016

    Add it to your solution and then import.

    Go to you solution>>add component>>web resources>>look for msdyn_LoadGuidedHelpISH.js>>add it it and import again

    Thanks, I know it is a web resource and I have verified it is in the solution since the solution I am moving is the "Default" solution where everthing is included with no exceptions, that is why I find this weird.

    I checked the CRM Online org where I am importing the solution and the GuidedHelp.js and GuidedHelpMcA.js are there but the GuidedHelpISH.js is not there so I guess it should be there OOB...

    I couldn't figure out a way around this so I had to manually add every entity, webresource, process and every other customization I had to a new solution and move it that way.

    I found this to be an issue when moving from CRM 2016 OnPrem (v8.1) to CRM OnLine (v8.2).

    1) unzip the solution file

    2) remove the following line from the solution.xml file;

    <RootComponent type="61" schemaName="msdyn_LoadGuidedHelpISH.js" behavior="0" />

    3)  also remove the following lines from the solution.xml file:

     <MissingDependency>

           <Required key="165" type="61" schemaName="msdyn_LoadGuidedHelpISH.js" displayName="msdyn_LoadGuidedHelpISH.js" solution="GuidedHelp (1.1.0.0)" />

           <Dependent key="165" type="61" schemaName="msdyn_LoadGuidedHelpISH.js" displayName="msdyn_LoadGuidedHelpISH.js" />

         </MissingDependency>

    4) re-zip all the solution

    What error are you getting now?

    NOTE: when you re-zip the solution file,  don't use the original that was downloaded from CRM,  create a new zip file.

    Hi Eric,

    How can i edit the solution.xml file ? I am copying the content in Notepad++ and then removing the missing dependencies part and save it. After i zip the file, and try to import it, the import fail saying -

    This solution package cannot be imported because it contains invalid XML. You can attempt to repair the file by manually editing the XML contents using the information found in the schema validation errors, or you can contact your solution provider.

    Is there another way to edit the solution.xml file ?

    RE: CRM 2016 Import Solution Error(GuidedHelp)

    That is how I do it.  notepad++ has a plugin for XML,  if you get that plugin it will help validate the XML.
