Hi,
We are planning to move dynamics 2016 to dynamics 365 (online), what are the steps we need to implement?
Do we need to update to 8.2 on-premise then 9.0 on-premise and then to online? or we can directly migrate from 8.1 to online, If so can you provide me with the steps?
What are the challenges while migrating?

Thanks for your response. While I can't find much info on the end of life for CRM 2016. Although legacy web client will be deprecated in D365 Online, there's no info for OP environment. I would recommend to post this question as a new thread.

Thank you for the information. I have a question which I'm struggling to find the answer to.
We are running a Dynamics 2016 8.1 (on-premise) solution. I am wanting to find out what the end of life is for this version of product before we need to upgrade to v9 to become cloud ready. Do you have some information on this?

Thanks for your verification.
Since we cannot export managed solutions which is by design so I would suggest you can create a new solution and add components, but you should to do it in the environment where those components are still unmanaged.
