User adoption dashboard - restrictions?

Hello Community,

I would like to show the user adoption dashboard to certain users in certain business units (not at the organization root, but 2 below)

For some reason, these users cannot see the dashboard, however when i change their BU to the root, they can see the dashboard.

Funny thing is that it only happens with this dashboard and not with any of the other dashboards..

I enabled the applicable security roles in the dashboard settings.  (screenshot)

I checked the security role settings, but can't see anything strange.

Does anyone know if there are restrictions on this dashboard?

Thanks, Debbie

    Hi Debbie,

From your question, it’s understood that you want to display the user adoption dashboard to specific users within certain business units, not at the organization's root but two levels below it. These users cannot see the dashboard unless their business unit is set to the root. This issue only affects this particular dashboard and not others. You have enabled the applicable security roles in the dashboard settings and still, it is not functioning as expected. You are seeking a solution to restrict the user from seeing the dashboard from non-business unit users.

Instead of focusing solely on a single dashboard for a few users, consider controlling and restricting dashboard access by assigning specific roles to users. You can try the User Adoption Monitor app by Inogic. This app tracks and monitors actions performed by enabled users in Dynamics 365 CRM, including common actions like Create, Read, Qualify Lead, Win, etc., on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. It also tracks the time users spend in CRM and on each entity's records. The dashboards in User Adoption Monitor provide managers with detailed insights into user actions per entity, action, and period, enhancing user adoption of Dynamics 365 CRM and ensuring the prevention of unauthorized user access. Additionally, this solution does not require any coding, simplifying the configuration process.

By using this app, you will be able to restrict the user by applying access rights and also track the user's activities on entities that they are eligible for as per your restriction roles.

You can install the app from the Inogic Website or from Microsoft AppSource for a free 15-day trial to evaluate its functionality, or you can schedule a demo to see how it works.

For more information, please contact at crm@inogic.com.

    Thanks,
    Sam
