copy and paste Journal Entry Missing Lines

Posted on by

I have a journal entry in Excel that I am trying to copy and paste into GP.  The journal Entry is balanced in Excel, but for some reason when I try and paste it into GP it skips some lines (and therefore leaves me with an unbalanced entry) - there is no report of errors.  I had this happen before and was able to find someone's blog on it - and a fix - but now I can't remember what the solution was and I can't find the blog either.  Anyone else had this issue?

Just in case anyone else runs into this issue - I found the original blog that had the answer.  To solve this problem you have to save it to a batch and then reopen the journal entry and it will be all good.

Do you have any row with no value which might create problem.
