Recently the top of our HTML statusbar area lost its color.....
Was wondering what could have caused this?

This was already discussed in a previous forum post. The cause is the installation of Internet Explorer 10. Uninstall IE 10 and your Status bar will magically work again.
I did modify the HTML status bar, and I was able to get it work. The problem here is that the background image was removed, so the new background is all white. Well the text is also white, so you cant see white on white. My temporary fix without uninstalling IE10 was just change the font color to Red. You do this by editing the HTML Status bar file.
