How to get invoice document PDF format on warehouse shipment -> Post & Print in business central

Hi Guys,
On warehouse shipment. There is one action button.i.e Post & Print.when we click on that button, it will open a dialog box.
If we can select Ship and invoice. then system will create shipments as well as invoices .
also it will download shipment as well.
So our query is, we want invoice to be downloaded ,at the same time.Or
We can manage this through separate one action for Invoice.

Result : 2 file to be download.1 for shipment & 1 for invoice.

Is any way to do this?

Hello,

In Business Central, the standard Post & Print action on the Warehouse Shipment only downloads the shipment document, even if you select Ship and Invoice - it does not automatically download the sales invoice.

To download both documents (shipment and invoice) at the same time, you can either customize the existing action to include logic for downloading the invoice, or create a new custom action like Post & Download Both that posts and retrieves both documents as PDFs. Alternatively, a simpler solution is to create a separate action button to download the invoice after posting.

All approaches require minor AL development but will ensure both documents are available for download.

Maybe this will help you.

By default, Post & Print on Warehouse Shipment only prints the shipment document, even if you choose Ship and Invoice. To also get the invoice PDF downloaded, you’ll need some customization.

You can either:

Modify the Post & Print logic to include invoice print after posting, or

Add a separate action to download both shipment and invoice PDFs together.

There’s no standard way to generate both documents at once automatically.
