Provide access to sitemap subarea in dynamics 365 with security roles

Hi,

We have added one html web resource in URL of subarea in the sitemap. We wanted to hide/show that subarea as per the CRM security role like we can enable security role to any entity. Is there any way to do it?

    Hello,

    You can hide it based on the privileges. From CRM 2016 SP1 release, you can use the built-in editor:

    Hi,

    As of now, sitemap visibility based on security role is not available. This is already added in crm ideas and is currently under review.

    ideas.dynamics.com/.../694317

    However, this can be work around as suggested above i.e. create a new entity and assign create right only to a specific security role. Then within the sitemap, use the that entity and create privilege for the sitemap sub area.

    This will ensure that the sub are will only be visible to those users which has creeate permission of that entity.
