Problem linking contact to an account

Example of the problem I am having...

Account: ABC Company (only one ABC Company listed in the accounts list)

I open up the Account and it does not have a contact listed.. None.. Zero.

Went to assign the contact to the account and I get this message..

"This record cannot be added because it already has a parent account".

Went to the contact and in her record, it shows ABC Company as her "Company", so it does show she is linked to the account.

So if this is the case, why is she not showing up under the company account?

    Where are you checking for Contacts on the Account?  Are you checking under Contacts on the left?  Is it possible Contact is linked to an Inactive ABC Company?

    Thanks for the reply.. I do not have any inactive accounts. I am click on "accounts" on the left and when I click ABC Company and it opens, there are no contacts listed. I click add and then try to add the right person and that is when I get that message.

    Hmm...something crazy is going on.  Any chance you can do screenshots of the Account/Contact in question?

    Here are the screenshots... This is the contact and as you see, her company is listed in her contact details.

    Here is the account screenshot.. On the right, no contacts listed and when I try to add, that is when I get the error message referenced above.

    This is definitely really strange.  I could not recreate this issue, so you might have to open a case with MS if it cannot be resolved.  Question: if you click on the Company hyperlink on the Contact record, does it take you to the same Account where it shows no Contacts?  Can you create a brand new contact for the Account rather than linking to an existing?

    Yes, if I click the company name, it will open the account that shows no contact record.. Just too strange..

    Here is another issue I am having as well and a screenshot to show you..

    Account shows a contact, but I am unable to make that contact the "Primary Contact". when I type in their name, it will pull it up, but once it does and I click on it, it will give me the red X telling me that "We did not find any match". Any ideas on this one? How can it have the person listed as a contact, but it can't find them when I try to make them the primary contact?

    Oh, and it's not happening on every one.. just randomly.. Others it will make the primary contact with no issues.
