"This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy"

Hello:

Our users access GP 2013 R2 (12.00.1920), through Terminal Server.  For years, even prior to GP 2013 R2, one of the users will occasionally get the following error message upon trying to open a document such as an Excel spreadsheet in the "OLE" window: "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy".

This error message represents the window that contains the "Switch To..." and "Busy" button.

Copying and pasting the attachment image to a separate app is a workaround but not when the Excel spreadsheet has multiple tabs.

Choosing to end the dynamics.exe process is not an option because, again, the users access GP on the same Terminal Server box.

Any ideas?

    John,

    I am sure Mariano has a blog that mentions this issue, remember as a User always had this on the earlier versions.

    Check the User doesn't have 2 Sessions of Dynamics GP running by checking in Task Manager.

    The other point with OLE is no spaces in the Directory Name which might cause other problems, and limit a timeout for OLE Connections.
