Hi All,

Can we add different business units(not parent-child) users to a Team in Crm Dynamics security model?

I am trying to add but giving error ‘you cannot join one or more of the teams selected’

Hi Parashuram,

I am pretty much sure you know that each business unit can have many teams,users and security roles and one business unit can only have one parent business unit . limitation is here you can not inherit one business unit to multiple business unit. Which means you can not add different business units (without parent or child) user to a team .

You can add users to a team in a different business unit provided

1) the team isn't the Business Unit's default team (the members of that team are all users within that business unit and you cannot add or remove members from the default team).

2) the team has a security role that provides the user with access to the records in that business unit - this is especially important where a user's role would otherwise only give them business unit level access to records belonging to their Business Unit.
