Have some bank ledger entries not showing on the bank rec.  They are not on any prior bank recs.

I have the same question (0)

Check if the entry was posted using GL Account or Bank Account. Only entries posted using Bank Account will show up on Bank Account Ledger Entries. Only Bank Account Ledger Entries will show up on the bank rec. (not General Ledger Entries)

Yes, as stated these are bank ledger entries not showing on the bank rec.  These are not GL entries.

Check if the bank ledger is still open or not. the "Open" field should be ticked on the bank ledger. if not, it means you already reconciled that entries before.

the record is not open,  so that explains why its not on the bank rec.  however, we have looked at prior bank recs and do not see that entry.  how else could it have been reconciled?

Press "Ctrl+Alt+F1" on the bank ledger entries to show the Page Inspection.

Under Page Inspection there are Statement No and Statement Line No. You can tell which bank rec closed that entry.

It does show that it is on a prior bank rec on the inspect page screen but it is not possible as the check was posted in a future month (we reviewed the old statement to confirm and it is not on that posted statement).  why is it showing on the record that it is on that bank rec?

    Hello,

When you say future month was the Check posted many months into the future so it would fall outside the Statement Range and the Posting Date if also outside the Statement? If the Check is say in September, it would not be included in the Statement Period or Bank Rec range for clearing.

    Thanks,

    Steve
