Create Stores through data management

Hi guys,

I have 100 stores to create and want to use Data management to do it. I tried different ways using Operating units, Retail channels and Stores entities without success. I always got errors with Operating unit number or Party associated to it...

Does anyone succeed to do this ?

    Hi Regis,

    You may search the entity which contains all of the table,You can first create a test data to verify whether the entity you choosed is valid, go to the form refresh to see if it can be successfully created.If it does not work, you can customize the entity.

    Hi Regis,

    Yes you can build stores through DM. I have done this a few times before. Note: this is for MPOS and was a 10.0.12 environment so there may be a few updates since. I will also assume you have created the warehouses already etc through DM.

    Below is a run book that is pretty self explanatory. The excel bit at the bottom is the run book and the entities are listed in the packages as per the tasks in the runbook....

    RETAIL PACKAGE 1     We need to complete the base data load before we can configure Commerce Parameters.
    Entity
    POS Accent Colours Manual - no entity exists  There is no entity for this.
    RETAIL PACKAGE 2 - Organisation Hierarchy Setup      
    Online Functionality Profile No Entity 10 Add this manually before loading channels
    		Run these in first before creating the Parameters below
    Retail Headquarters parameters Retail Headquarters parameters This was easier to load manually due to issues with configuration names and item lengths
    Commerce channel Parameters Retail online channel This was easier to load manually due to issues with configuration names and item lengths
    Retail shared parameters Retail shared parameters This was easier to load manually due to issues with configuration names and item lengths
    Manually add Dispostion code to commerce parameters > posting > invoice. It is mandatory with return features Manual update on form
    Call Centre Parameters This was easier to load manually due to issues with configuration names and item lengths
    RETAIL PACKAGE 3       
    Auto Charges (Commerce) Load Manually
    Info Codes and Subcodes Load descriptions manually Do not pull over in entity
    Discounts Need to disable the group discounts to add the price groups and channels  manually and the  re-enable
    RETAIL PACKAGE 4       
    Visual Profile   Load Manually as throws errors from package  
    		Note: you will get lots of failures on the POS setup load. This needs to be checked an completed manually
    Finish Configuration:
    Process Assortments
    Process Delivery Modes
    Process Loyalty
    Publish Channels  In retail menu -
    Full Data sync on Channel Database

    Algie67 your list is very usefull and I will use it to prepare my whole package. Many thanks for sharing it 

    In fact my problem was more on the fields that need to be filled in Retail channels entity. I finally found the solution...

    After creating warehouse, create the Operating unit, then report the OperatingUnitNumber and OperatingUnitPartyNumber in the Retail channels entity. The field Name (store name) must be kept empty
