Some System Job's stuck "In Progress"

Hello everybody!

I got a weird one for y'all.   I have a 1000+ system jobs apparently from the same minute(I am suspicious about that), that are stuck in progress for the last 3 weeks and are showing up in the "locked system jobs" view.  I am trying to clear these out so I took a sample of one and tried canceling it, now its stuck in "canceling".  There are all kinds of workflows and system events in this list. 

I assume there is some SQL lock on these records that is preventing it from changing states, but not sure how to validate that. 

I am running on 2015 on premise. There was a warning of execution time being too long on the cancel attempt in the application log. 

Any thoughts, tips, tricks, or shenanigans?

    So good timing looks like a good old async job refresh and some time commits the cancliation.

    Hi Riley,

    It's good to see your problem solved I think.

    This can be helpful in case you face problem again.

    But system jobs stuck with status reason waiting for resources/ InProgress/ Waiting /Pausing due to different issues like-

    1. Many jobs are in waiting status.

    2. AsyncOperationBase table become full due to many succeeded/canceled jobs occupied space.

    3. Asynchronous processes settings are not proper.

    4. The asynchronous workflows are not configured properly.

    Very first step is to restart the  Microsoft Dynamics CRM Asynchronous Processing Service. This might work in many cases.
