Unable to create new column definitions after FRx to MR conversion

I am using MR 2012 with CU16 on SQL Server 2017. MR installation was done properly, however when ever I click on the column definition it gives an error message The operation could not be completed due to a problem in the data provider framework.  Component: Microsoft.Dynamics.Performance.Reporting.DataProvider.Server.DirectLinkService.

It does this for all four companies including the TWO company. M/C is assign to all and there are no blank budget IDs.

In examining the company fiscal years I discovered that from 2000-2013 the fiscal year was 07/01-06/30 with 12 periods. In 2014 the FY was defined as 07/01-05/31 with 11 periods. Each year after that the FY is defined as 06/01-05/31 with 12 periods. So it appears in 2014 they backed up the FY by one month. Could this be why MR and column definitions no longer function? If so, is there any way to correct this?

In case someone else gets stuck on this here is what worked to fix this. Running SQL Profiler while trying to create a new column revealed this statement:

    SELECT [t0].[Id], [t0].[Name], [t0].[Description], [t0].[Symbol]

    FROM [Datamart].[UnitOfMeasure] AS [t0]

    ORDER BY [t0].[Name]

Would return ISO codes for only USD. All the others were blank. This was confirmed by looking at the DYNAMICS..MC40200 table. Going to Tools->Setup->System->Currency and setting each ISO Code to its respective value allowed me to create new column definitions. How they were blank in the first place is a mystery. This client has been using GP since 2000.
