Receiving Validation Errors When Trying to Copy and Paste from Excel to General Journal

I'm trying to copy and past a payroll general journal from Excel into General Journals. I have all of the fields listed, but I get validation errors on DIOT Type of Operation, Bal. Gen. Posting Type, and Corrections. The weird thing is that it accepts one row, but not the other 24 rows. It's the second row that is getting flagged. I've tried skipping that row, but it doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

    check if these fields are editable and the values, which will be inserted are valid and have the correct datatype. maybe they have text format in excel, but should be integer or what ever.

    Thanks. How do I tell what the datatype should be? I'm not entering any data into those fields. They are just blank.

    Hi

    Just a suggestion, if you can use the "Edit in Excel" feature of Business Central Page. You can enter the data and upload it back.

    Or you might also use the Config. Packages to export/import using Excel with only fields that you need. Here you also have an option to select the Validate field. And the excel that you download will specify what is the type of the field in the comment.

    Thanks. I’ll check the config package option. We’re a Mac shop so we’re not able to use the Edit In Excel option unfortunately.
