Why do manually recorded invoice number is not showing on the posted purchase invoice?

Why do manually recorded invoice number is not showing on the posted purchase invoice? Also, it is not showing in the vendor account.

    Can you provide more context and maybe the field caption in Purchase Invoice before posting?

    Manually recorded invoice number sounded like Vendor Invoice No., it should be on the list and card page.

    There are two ways you can get the number reference . 
     
    1) Vendor Invoice Number is external Document Number provided by Vendor 
    2) PRe-Assigned Number is document Number before posting the purhcase Invocie . But If you have posted invocie from Purchase ORder  , PRe-Assigned Number will be blank 
     
     
    In Below Purchase Invoice,  This is posted using Purchase Invoice Screen , Hence Order no is blank . But "Vendor Invoice Number" , "PRe-assigned Number" has value
