Hi Experts,

As the Attachment size limit in Dynamics 365 crm is 128 mb,
If we attach a file of around 55 to 60 mb we got an error,

Error-Message-on-Media-File-Upload-_2D00_-Aug-21st-_2D00_-BJL.PNG

What is the reason behind it as the download log is also not available please advice.

Also is there anyway to increase the size limit ? As we have to attach large media files around 300 to 400 mb.

Please Help,
Thanks in advance.
Ebad

I'm not going to help a lot, but if your attachments are that big (300-400 MB), I don't think Dynamics CRM is tailored to store them.

You should consider SharePoint / OneDrive integration instead.

    Hi Henry,

As we have to show the attachments to Portal also. And integration of Sharepoint and CRM Portal is not supported in Online version 8.  What are the alternatives?

    Thanks,

    Ebad

    Hi Ebad,

interesting find, btw (Sharepoint and V8).. As for the original error, I saw it on-prem, and I'm pretty sure it starts before you have reached the limit. Although, in my case it would start at around 25 MB when the limit was 32 MB.

For the workarounds.. I'm assuming if you need upload/download there is not a lot of options other than to implement your own file management on the portal side (although, since you can't customize portals on the server side, you'll probably have to implement it as an external app.. and embed into the portals through an iframe/javascript.. not that simple at all, I guess). If you only need to allow portal users to download the files, then, maybe, you could expose them as notes and have a post-retrieve plugin on the notes that would replace note content with a file from Sharepoint.
