Could we configure the markdown info on the "Sales Markdown Entry" window be configured by the user in GP2013? For example, the "Markdown Type", the calculate function. Or it could be changed only by developer and set it in code?

Another option for your requirement is using extended pricing of GP where you can define the price and discount based on item and customer. Please click here to have a look at the same.

You can not fix the percentage for a particular item, you need customization to achieve this.

Hi Unni,
Welcome to GP Community. On the sales transaction window if you select the sales line item and expand the window you will see the markdown field which you can drill down again by pressing blue arrow button.

Hi,
The Sales Markdown Entry can only be enabled or disabled by user from the Setup of the sales order processing module in Dynamics GP 2013 and older versions. Moreover using VBA or even dexterity requires developer techniques to perform any changes.
