Planning Worksheet Quantity

Hello

Could someone please advise if it is possible for the quantity on the planning worksheet to round the required quantity by an order multiple.

For example, I have a production order requirement for 2.5 but I have an order multiple for that item as 5. I would want to see a quantity of 5 appear on the planning worksheet.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, as long as the line is being entered using the "Calc. Regenerative Plan" function.  There are only three settings needed to perform this calculation.

    1) On the Item/SKU Card > Planning tab, set the "Reordering Policy to either "Maximum Qty." or "Lot-for-Lot" (most common).

    2) On the Item/SKU Card > Planning tab, ensure the Item you are going to produce has an "Order Multiple" defined.

    3) When running your plan in the Planning Worksheet, ensure the "Respect Planning Parameters..." is turned on.

If you do not get a Quantity divisible by 5, then you need to check your demand date, as it is likely prior to your planning start date which can cause issues.  The other thing people often forget is updating the SKU for the Location you are planning for.

Ben provided a very good answer. The order multiple field is the key to this.

    Hello

For completeness.  Further testing and investigation is that order multiple is only functional when the Manufacturing Policy is set to Make-to-Stock.  I had this set to Make-to-Order.
