Hi Experts,

I have converted my released production order to a finished production order and the "unit cost" field in the finished production order line  contains different value than "cost per unit" field in the value entries. What is the reason for that?? where I can see correct unit cost???

* My value entries. When i look the unit last direct cost field in the item card. I can see this cost

* Production order line
I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

    The difference in unit cost between Value Entries and the Production Order Line arises due to additional entries such as Capacity Ledger Entries from Work Centers and Machine Centers, as well as other indirect costs.

    Value Entries primarily reflect the cost of raw materials, whereas Production Order costing encompasses all associated costs, including labor, overheads, and indirect expenses.

    The discrepancy between "Unit Cost" in the Finished Production Order and "Cost Per Unit" in the Value Entries is different because:
     - The Finished Production Order Line "Unit Cost" reflects the expected or preliminary cost at the time the production order was finished.
     - The Value Entries "Cost per Unit" field shows the actual cost calculated but only after running  the "Adjust Cost - Item Entries" batch job.

    * The most accurate Unit Cost is found in the Value Entries AFTER running the "Adjust Cost - Item Entries" batch job.

    The inventory subledger (Item Ledger Entries and Value Entries) always reflects the most up-to-date unit cost, since the Adjust Cost - Item Entries process updates those records. The unit cost shown on the production order represents the expected cost at the time the order was created so to speak.
