Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Licensing

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello -

We currently have a Microsoft Dymanics GP 2013 environment at my company.  I wanted to gather the licensing requirements to run a complete environment.  I believe we would need the following:

1.  Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or 2012 R2 (Standard license)

2.  Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (Standard license)

3.  Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 User CALs

Is there anything I'm missing?  Thank you.

Make sure you have CALs for SQL as well. Dynamics GP runs on concurrent user licensing for unlimited access to all features of the software. Named/Limited users are available for access to self-service features like requisitions. Dynamics GP SmartList integrates tightly with Microsoft Office, so you'll want to make sure you have compatible versions of Microsoft Office for Dynamics GP Users.

Here is a link to the System Requirements for Dynamics GP 2013; you can see which versions of office are compatible.
