I am working on an integration between BC and a PIM system and the goal is to upload the jpeg item picture from the PIM to the Item in BC.

Already, I have investigated 2 options:

Import Multiple Item Pictures - Business Central | Microsoft Learn: this would require manual actions which is not preferred
Create item picture - Business Central | Microsoft Learn: only relates to a binary picture format and I indeed couldn't get is to work with another image format.

I am looking for other possibilities, are there any? Or would it always result in customizations?

If the BC options are a bit too hands-on, have you considered a middleware for smoother automation? Also, quick thought: before importing, maybe try to compress image. Sometimes that helps! Ever experimented with image compression before importing?

Hi, have you considered the following two methods, one is to import images through URL, and the other is to import encoded text (Base64 String) and convert it into image in BC.
