We are migrating from Dynamics 2016 on-prem to Dynamics 365 online. There is a question as to whether to migrate all customisations as one managed solution vs. maintaining the history of all unmanaged solutions and moving them all across individually.
The main pro appears to be that doing it as one managed solution is because it would be 'easier'. However, to me it feels the cons would far outweigh it because the history of the customisations would be lost, along with the ability to remove any of the custom fields.
I just wanted a quick sanity check though in case I was missing something. Does anyone see any strong views as to why it should be a managed solution?
