I have the permission to view, modify, create and delete a bank deposit via super user. The bank deposit has $0 on it. When I try and view or delete the bank deposit, I get an error: The record that you tried to open is not available. The page will close or show the next record. But the next time I go back to the bank deposits, the bank deposit still appears and was not deleted. Any ideas?

    Hi,

We can check the below fixes: -
    1. Clear Filters and Reopen:
      • Go to the Bank Deposits list.
      • Use "Clear Filter" or "Show All" to ensure no filters are hiding or misrepresenting the record.
    2. Use the “Delete” from List View:
      • Instead of opening the deposit, try selecting it directly from the list and using the Delete action from the ribbon.
    3. Check for Related Entries:
      • Even if the deposit is $0, it might have related lines or ledger entries.
      • Go to Related > Entries > Ledger Entries and see if anything is linked.
    4. Use Configuration Package or Page Inspection:
      • Use the Page Inspection tool (Ctrl+Alt+F1) to get the table and record ID.
      • Then use a Configuration Package to export and inspect the data, or delete it directly if safe.
Note: This response was developed in collaboration with Microsoft Copilot to ensure clarity and completeness. I hope it helps to some extent.

    Hi,

You're absolutely right, this error typically occurs when the bank deposit record is either partially corrupted, filtered out, or linked to hidden ledger entries that prevent deletion.

    Here’s what you can try:

    • Clear filters and reopen the Bank Deposits list. Use “Clear Filter” or “Show All” to ensure no filters are hiding or misrepresenting the record.
    • Try deleting the deposit directly from the list view instead of opening it. Select the record and use the Delete action from the ribbon.
    • Check for related entries. Even if the deposit is $0, it might have linked lines or ledger entries. Go to Related > Entries > Ledger Entries and confirm if anything is attached.
    • Use Page Inspection (Ctrl+Alt+F1) to get the table and record ID. You can then use a Configuration Package to export and inspect the data, or delete it directly if safe.
    • If the issue persists, it may be caused by a recent update or metadata mismatch. Consider restarting the service tier or checking for background sync issues.

    Is there any customization?
I suggest you ask the developer to debug it, or uninstall the third-party apps and try again.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

The error is likely due to hidden filters, related ledger entries, or incomplete deletion logic.

You need to try deleting the deposit directly from the list view (not by opening it), clear any filters, and check for related entries.

You can also use a Configuration Package to safely remove it.

This looks like a code or data issue, not a permissions problem especially since you’re using a super user role and the deposit is $0. The error suggests the record might be corrupted or partially deleted.

You should ask your developer to debug this using the debugger or look into custom code/extensions affecting the Bank Deposit page.

    Hello,

To resolve this, debugging with the help of a developer is recommended using AL debugger tools to trace what’s failing when you open or delete the record. This can help identify if the issue is caused by missing lines, unposted entries, or a damaged record. Once identified, a safe data cleanup or code fix can be applied to remove or correct the deposit.

Hope this answer will help you!

    Regards,
