Cycle Counting using Warehouse Management

Hi All,

I have a question on cycle counting using warehouse management.

I set up cycle counting using cycle counting plans in warehouse management only for A category item in the product query.

But when I run cycle counting, it also creates cycle counting work for all the items whose category is not A only because there are there in the location in which the A category item is there.

How do I solve this problem. Please help.

Hi again,  the screen shot of the Cycle Plan is cut just so we cant see the work template.  Have to make sure that you are using that Work Template with the work line break that you configured.

    Hi Danny, Andre,

1st, thanks a lot for your response, appreciated.

I did follow the process mentioned in the link but it doesn't seem to work. My CC work still creates for all the items in the location despite the fact that I have a product query to CC only specific items. Here's my set up and process in D365. Please help me if you can. Thanks.

I have only one item that has the ABC Code - Cost Carrying Code = A

Yet, when my CC work generates, I still see items other than the above item with ABC Code - Carrying Cost included in it.

Hi RS, the trick is with the Work Template. You need to insert a Work Template break using "Item Number" or "Product Variant" case depnding.

Microsoft documentation refers to it as "Partial location counting".  Here is the relevant article:  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/warehousing/partial-location-cycle-counting

    Hi,

Can you share screenshots of your current setup and one with the result of the counting work creation so we can verify some settings?
