i have Microsoft RMS ver 2.0.2000 installed on three stores and a fourth one used as a server where it has the HQ manager installed . I have been getting the dynazip error where it stops communication between stores when the message pops up . i read in the forum that hotfix #32 should fix it . so i installed the hotfix and put " -q" and the end of the path of the hq client . but when i press ok on the shortcut properties i get a message saying that the path could not be found ! i think that the problem is that i installed the hotfix in the wrong directory ( i have installed it first in the default path i got C:/ then i tried to install it in program files -> microsoft rms -> HQ client ) .
any idea how to setup the hotfix correctly or fix this dynazip error .?
Thank you in advance .

Other walk around way: setup scheduled task to remove qs*.* in %temp%
yes , That did it , i guess i did not put a space before -q . Thanks
putting -q did not work for me at all. I think you will need to register those two .dll files.
Are you putting the -q inside the quotes for the path? If so that's probably the problem. Put a space and then the -q after the quotes.
Go to HQ Client directory, and copy the directory address
64bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Retail Management System\Headquarters Client
open Command Prompt - CMD
change the destination - CD C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Retail Management System\Headquarters Client
regsvr32 <filename>.dll
regsvr32 duzactx.dll
regsvr32 dzactx.dll
I hope this will help you registering the .dll files.
Thank you,
Danny
I went into c:\windows\system32 and wrote " run regsvr.exe " and it did not recognize the command also i tried " regsvr.exe " same result . Kindly bare that i know very little about dos commands . Thank you for your cooperation .
the hotfix should select the appropriate directory. Dynazip has two files. duzactx.dll and dzactx.dll make sure these are in the hq directory and they are registered.
if you are not sure about the registering then run regsvr.exe from the c:\windows\system32 or for 64bit os c:\windows\syswow64\ directory.
