Does anyone know how I can change the number of decimal places on an invoice/quote/order?

I have created custom Word Invoice/quote/order templates but the quantity shows 5 decimal places.

Do you know how I can change this to none?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Carl.

    Hi Carl,

I don't think this is possible without changing the decimal precision on the quantity field in Dynamics CRM.  I looked at multiple ways to utilize content controls to make this happen for the Word Template and I could make it work but only with VBA code like what was done in this article:  gregmaxey.mvps.org/.../contentcontrol_enhancements_word_2013.html

Once you do that you are not able to load into Dynamics CRM because it is not a supported format.

I wish we had the capability like MERGEFIELD in mail merge...

Anyone else have other ideas or something that I missed?

    Thanks,

It is a shame because it makes the quotes/invoices look very untidy.

None of our products can be divided into fractions so we will only every need a number and no decimals.

If you find a way I would love to know.

    Thanks,

    Carl.

Hi Carl,  if that is true then can you just change precision as I mentioned on the quantity field in the entity?

Drew, I think I missed a step in this one...

Where do I change the precision entry?

    Thanks,

    Carl.

    Hi Carl,

You have to change the precision in the customizations for the quantity attribute on your entity. PLease see the below screenshot :

Hopefully this change helps Carl, it should display 0 decimals if you change the precision to 0.

So... no idea to allow the use of decimal numbers with custom templates ?

This seems like a big missing feature... quantities might be OK without decimals, but typically discounts would eventually need it !

I hope someone has an answer here!  I think this is definitely needed as well...

    Thanks much,
