CRM 2011 outlook client doesn't work with outlook 2016

We have windows 7 and CRM 2011 (Rollup 18). We are trying to upgrade to office 2016.  On a clean client machine with Outlook 2016, we installed the CRM 2011 Outlook Client. First we got error "Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.WebFormsHost has stopped working". Followed people's advice and added the registry key, this error disappeared. But now we get "Microsoft Dynamics CRM Client for Outlook utility has stopped working". 

Any help?

    Hi Holly,

    You need to install the Outlook Client for CRM 2016. The download is available here.

    Hi,

    Normally, CRM 2011 outlook client could work with outlook 2016.

    Please notice, Click-to-Run installed versions of Office 2016 are not compatible with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

    Besides, you could follow the article below to check whether you have meet the requirements for installing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Outlook.

    I finally got the CRM 2011 Outlook Client to work with Outlook 2016. There are two registry changes that need to be made:

    • The MS security update prevents roaming pages. The CRM add-in needs this ability. To fix, update registry for Outlook 16 with:

    o [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Security] "EnableRoamingFolderHomepages"=dword:00000002

     The article says setting the DWORD value to 2 will allow it to be used for future security updates.

    • CRM 2011 Outlook plug-in with Office 2016 has problem with WebFormsHost. To fix, update registry for MSCRM Client:

    o Reg edit → HKEY_CURRENT_USER → Software → Microsoft → MSCRMClient → added a new DWORD 32 key named as 'UseWebFormProcessIsolation' → Set the value to 2
