Schedule button is not visible in Back Up Company window

Hi Every one

we have implemented Dynamics GP in couple of organizations. The one thing that is annoying us is that "Schedule" button is not visible in "backup company" window. This scenario is persistent in all of our installations. when have checked this window in modifier and even in Dexterity, the "Schedule" button is visible there and everything looks fine but at run time it is not visible as you can see in the screenshot.

Can anyone help? Is there any setup option that we are missing?

This was taken out in GP 2010. If you want to schedule backups you need to setup a plan in SQL. This whole functionality will be completely removed in future release.

But what is the rationale for removing this functionality. I think it was a valuable functionality and must be retained.

Raheel,

That is not decided by support, it is done at the development level. If I had to guess it is because this can all be done in SQL so it is just additional code in the application.

SQL provides much more flexibility in setting backup plans. I would guess that's why the functionality is no longer in the User Interface.
