CRM 4 outlook plugin 64 bit OS compatibility

Hi one of our users' machines was recently rebuilt to a 64bit build and as a result the outlook plugin has now ceased to work with CRM 4. Are there any work arounds to this? The searching I've done so far either points me towards the newer versions of crm or talks about the bit version of office rather than the os specifically - i'm not sure if this amounts to the same thing.

Thanks

what version of outlook are you using.

    CRM 4 is compatible with

Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 (32-bit client only)

it isn't compatible with office 2010 and probably 64 bit

    Hello JamesL,

What version is the Outlook and the CRM Plugin? Have you re-installed it after the OS upgrade?

    Hi Ben,

I believe it's now the 64-bit 2010 version of outlook which is where the problem lies - I've sent a request for clarification from our systems team so I can know for definite.

    Thanks for the reply

Thanks Magor - I think the outlook version is 2010 64 bit but I'm checking to make sure

    Hello JamesL,

In case the Outlook Version is 2010 64bit, it will not work as it's not a supported configuration. Please see www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx under System Requirements.
