How to delete a journal entry on Quick Journal that has duplicate Journal Entry # with a posted entry

I have an journal entry listed on the Quick Journal window. When I try to open the entry, I keep getting the message that the ournal entry already posted. When I did a Journal entry inquiry, I saw the same journal entry # was posted for another entry. How can I remove this duplicate journal entry from the Quick Journal window. Thanks.

    If you go to the Account Transactions SmartList, do you see both journal entries?  Is one in the Work table and one in the Open table?  You might need to delete the extra record in the Work table, but you need to make sure the entry actually made it through the post and was written to the general ledger.

    JE's are pretty easy to fix at the table level, but you need to make sure it posted through if that was your intention.

    I check the smartlist, and only one entry was posted.Can you tell me which table I have to go to to remove the extra transaction. Thank you.

    The unposted version of the Journal entry would be living in the GL10000 (header record) and GL10001 (distribution lines) tables.
