Vat Business and Vat Product posting group being overwritten on general ledger when being set via OData call

Hello

We are creating a general journal line in a general journal via an OData api call and we are seeing the VAT Business Posting and VAT Product Posting Group are being overwritten automatically by different values than the given values in the api call

Is there any way to turn this off or prevent this automatic override from happening?

Hi,

its happening because you have taken the either GL Account or Item card which has already those values in the card, and might be that is the reason its replacing those values., If you want to send those values from API, you have to remove those fields values from the corresponding card.
