Although NAV is a robust system, I would like to know if anyone could shed some light on automation options such as integrating with macros or other similars

It is possible to use power automate with NAV but not with triggers. If you’re able to move to business central you will find a stronger connection with power automate

If you have repeating operations that you need to preform you can of course write AL Code that executes that for you. But it will not be like a user defined macro.

Hi, just adding others' reply, If you just want to run some programs regularly, I think the first consideration should be the Job Queue. You can create a Codeunit, put the code you want to execute in it, and set it to the Job Queue.
