Hi,

I have a question on number of decimal points on released products

we have a requirement to have at least 4 decimal points du to the site of some of our product

I have looked and it seems that the only way to support this is to do a modification to the Table.

Is this correct ?

Thanks.

    Hi Tom,

You need to extend the decimal point precision for the related data types. See link below:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../decimal-point-precision

Please know that it will change precision for all products, you can't control which products get 2 and which one 4. All products share same precision, value entered by users are per product.

    Thanks Satish,

Am i correct in saying it can only be done with a modification, it is not a parameter that i can change.

    Kind regards

Based on what I know...no parameters for this change. The link that I shared above mention weight, width, height and depth. It doesn't mention volume but I doubt why system would be set up different for volume. It should follow extension like others mentioned above.

There use to be a form in earlier version that would provide wizard to extend number of decimals for prices.

try to check the decimal precision in the system units for volume class

the UI may restrict decimals but could enter and store more decimals if the unit class (marked as system) allows

    see if this also helps
